The newest one
Just look at these beautiful kids. Words cannot express how much I absolutely love these little humans. And now a new little one has come along. The kiddos are my daughters' children, and yes that makes them my grandkids but I never really liked to be called Grandma (just wasn't ready or something like that). The kids call me Mama and I love it. All the kids birthday are in April and the new one, Huxley, was born on April 15. Perfect! The girls are smitten with him. I took the opportunity to do a few photos of him on Easter. I was kind of nervous. I had photographed so many babies, but it had been a while and I felt that my skills and body were outdated and not up to the task. While looking over the internet for tips and inspiration I discovered a family photographer that did everything in White. Her work resonated with me and I was inspired.
I still had a few old props from my newborn days and of course my trusty old bean bag. So I went to work and I love the simplicity of the images. When I first started photography in 2004 I was drawn to White and I think I would always be looking for alternatives telling myself that I always had to push the envelope. Well over 20 years later and I am back loving the simple white background and back to a blog too (but that story if for another time).
